Who we are
The founders of Pontus Re, Steve Baker and Pete Mattox, each have over 30 years of successful industry underwriting and leadership experience. Building on successful track records we focus on analyzing and assessing portfolios of treaties supporting property & casualty insurers and other risk assuming entities.
Steve’s experience includes Home Insurance, Interstate Fire and Casualty, CNA Re, Hartford Steam Boiler, and IAT Re.
Pete’s experience includes Travelers Insurance, CNA Re, and IAT Re. Pete has his ARe and CPCU designations as well as his MBA.
